Welcome to the XXI FAI European Balloon Championship
For the first time in the history of the Europeans, an island will host the organisation of an European Balloon Championships. This privilege has been achieved by the island of Majorca, thanks to an unbeatable project that has great institutional and popular support which, together with an impressive training and competition flight areas, makes Majorca an unbeatable venue.
More than 100 balloons, 85 teams and 600 participants with more than 25 different nationalities will meet at the XXI FAI European Balloon Championships.
Majorca is the largest island in Spain and one of the most important tourist destinations in Europe. It is synonymous with beaches and coves of worldwide prestige, crystal clear blue waters and also nature, culture, gastronomy and, of course, sports.
I want to welcome all our competitors and fans to our island. We are convinced that you will enjoy every day of competition and the event. I also invite you to enjoy a wide variety of options offered by our wonderful island in its broad cultural, leisure and gastronomy agenda.
